Full Description
This course is not a beginner level course, it will be expected that you have knowledge and skills in basic extrication and stabilization.
4 hours of classroom will be provided covering new vehicle technologies and challenges both on vehicle safety features and changes to the different materials used by vehicle manufacturers.
Hands-on portions will require participation (PPE is a MUST). Advanced techniques will be walked through on the afternoon of the first day. We will also be covering under rides and over rides to include advanced stabilization and moving vehicles and working under secured loads. Depending on vehicle availability we will be utilizing semitrailer‘s and other heavier vehicles as well.
The final exercise will include scenario based evolutions where you will work in teams to accomplish your objectives in multiple vehicle pile-ups.

Full Description:
Operating as the supply pumper is one of the most important tasks on any fireground. The supply engine must rapidly establish an initial source of water for the attack engine, but also be prepared to expand its system to meet future flow demands. This is regardless of whether the water source is a fire hydrant or a static body of water. It is the supply pump operator’s responsibility to be prepared to maximize any water source to which they are assigned to operate. This course is designed to show students how to maximize their water availability while operating from a draft and pressurized water sources. By the conclusion of this course, students will be able to implement these techniques to ensure that they are able to meet the flow demands of their next large-scale fire incident
