Zach Mathews
Zach has over twenty-six years of experience in public safety ranging from police officer, Conservation Officer, detective, Investigation Section commander (overt & covert operations), Training Section commander, Office of Professional Standards commander, and an instructor of a wide variety of topics. Early in his career, Zach developed a passion for conducting interviews and interrogations. He honed these skills both as a detective and a trainer teaching to both state and federal agencies for over eighteen years.
Zach was recruited and is currently employed by the Indiana Department of Homeland Security (IDHS) in 2019 to teach leadership and body language skills across the state. Zach is the 2016 Indiana Chief of Police Leader’s Leader Award recipient along with receiving the Detective of the Year, District Officer of the Year, Director’s Leadership and Governor’s Outstanding Service Award. He is a John Maxwell certified team member and DISC certified consultant.
